Terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy books through this website. They are written to comply with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
Who you are buying from
Heather Maisner, trading as Dinosaur Douglas Books, based in the United Kingdom. The full trading address is printed on your order confirmation and supplied on request. Email heathermaisner@yahoo.co.uk.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Printed books are zero-rated for UK VAT, so no VAT is added. Postage is calculated at the checkout from the weight of your parcel (UK delivery only), and is shown before you pay. Payment is taken by PayPal, using a PayPal account or a debit or credit card. Your contract with me is made when the payment is confirmed and you see the thank-you page.
Delivery
Books are posted by Royal Mail to UK addresses only, normally within three working days of your order. Deliveries usually arrive within a week. If a parcel does not arrive within a reasonable time, email me and I will chase it or replace it.
Your right to cancel
You may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the books. Tell me by email, then return the books in resaleable condition within 14 days of cancelling. I will refund the price of the books and the standard postage you paid within 14 days of receiving them back. The cost of returning the books is yours unless they are faulty or not what you ordered.
Faulty or wrong books
If a book arrives damaged or is not the one you ordered, email me with a photo and I will send a replacement or a full refund, including your return postage.
Bulk and institutional orders
Orders from schools, nurseries, councils and health organisations are quoted individually and may be invoiced against a purchase order. Those quotes carry their own payment terms.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email me first and I will do my best to put it right. If we cannot agree, you can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform or contact Citizens Advice.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
